We Hosted Our First Freelancer Happy Hour!
We hosted our first event in Los Angeles with our friends at Red Bull last month! It was amazing to have the opportunity to bring together Los Angeles’ self-employed community for an evening of networking at Red Bull ConsuLAte - a pop-up experience bringing together all facets of the brand to Venice Beach’s iconic Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
This was a full circle moment for me as so many amazing opportunities have bloomed from my career with Red Bull. I’ve worked with the brand in both full-time and freelance capacities since I was a junior in college with teams in the US, Austria and Canada. I met some of my best friends there and even my husband! To partner with them for The Scope’s first event was a truly special moment for me, twelve years in the making.
At the event, guests enjoyed vegan small bites from The Butcher’s Daughter and cupcakes from Susie Cakes. We also had custom tote bags made by local business, Rapid Silk Screen Printing that were personalized with onsite calligraphy from freelancer, Julie of Song & Pen. All of our graphic designs for promotional materials were also created by freelancer Julia of Luminous Lines. Freelance photographer Ethan Lovell of World Wide Mind captured photos from the evening and our contributor, Jared Serfozo, created this video edit from the night!
